Just as info, you can use the Exchange calendar in TB by using the Exchange Provider and Lightening. As server address, use https://sync.sdu.dk/EWS/Exchange.asmx–the remaining options are straight-forward.

$ export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/local/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so
Struggled so long to get GStreamer working but it won’t, with this line, my Video4Linux worked. Awesome. Thank you thank you.

Nice tutorial,

i’m using android (HTC Desire) and i had no trouble syncing, recieving, sending even kalender worked perfectly. This was not using IMAP. Then the evil encryption demand was envoked and since most of my stuff on the phone is personal i did not want SDU to be able to delete all of that. So i had to fall back to the inflexible imap service (no calendar or contacts).

So lastnight i discovered a nice app TouchDown for my Android. Now only mails are encrypted and SDU will only be able to “control/delete” my emails and not all other stuff on my phone. Emailing works, contacts work, tasks work and calender works.

For me thats definitely worth the 100kr ;(

Yes, same version of Evolution, Gnome and Ubuntu, but on different architectures. However, I’m not entirely sure I was using the same version of the MAPI plugin for Evolution.

I didn’t know that I could use IMAP, and I’ve now changes to it. It works on both computers, and I can use the SMTP server of my primary webmail supplier.

Well, it is hard to say without a little more information? Do you get an error message? Are the computeres running the same version of Evolution, Gnome, Ubuntu etc?
I have to admit that I’m actually not using the Exchange server anymore, but use Thunderbird and SDU’s IMAP server instead. You will not get access to the the adressbook/calendar that way, but I rely on Google Calendar instead.

I did as you wrote, and now I can connect to my SDU mail from Evolution on my desktop. But it doesn’t work on my laptop/netbook. Both computers have the same configuration, and both computers connect to SDU’s VPN.

Have you got an idea about what the problem is? (I take it you’re better at this than the service department…)
