I’ve just added the report with my bachelor thesis to the projects page. It’s mainly an introduction to Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and to the techniques used by positioning systems like GPS and Ubisense.
WSN is introduced and some possible scenarios for use of WSNs are discussed. A discussion on the importance of the uses of automatic positioning systems, in relation to WSN is presented.
After that two positioning systems, GPS and Ubisense is introduced, and the technical functionality is briefly covered.
A common data storage structure for positioning data from the two different systems are investigated and a solution is proposed. The solution is implemented in a very basic form, and some tests are shown.
